Airlift

From ages India have witness her own sons & daughters leaving her for their bright future… while staying abroad they have been criticising her for being the 3rd world country with no future & growth… These are the same people who want my country to help them when they face life threats…

Airlift is not only about heroism of one man or a country but lessons to be learnt by the overseas citizens of India that how much you flee away from your roots it’s only the motherland which gives you shelter when you needed it desperately… Your individual identity across the world at anytime of crisis would only be Indian… Indian… Indian…

Akshay Kumar your charisma is phenomenal as Ranjit Katyal the successful deal maker… The man so real in appearance & act… Those grey & white masculine shades of a man in forties… the intense emotional attachment of being a family man & his responsibility towards his employees reflected in every frame of the silver screen… You are a dream hero of every woman today…

The director Raja Krishna Menon must be applauded for his efforts on making a thriller on a real subject of Indian wars at the international boundaries… Though he tried to execute it in a much realistic manner with story revolving around the protagonist, a need was felt of much more detailing in the actual execution of the airlift operation by showing the difficulties faced by the ministry & the government to carry out such a heavy operations as a team in short time…

The characterisation was indeed marvellous with meticulous details… Inaamul Haq was brilliant as Major Khalaf bin Zayd, the annoying & irritating Prakash Belawadi as George Kutty got us really mad at him… Purab Kohli as Ibrahim Durrani was quite intense in a small role… Each Indian at the refugee base camp was a performer…

Nimrat Kaur as Amrita Katyal progressed beautiful from being a self centred wife to a woman who stood for her husband’s sacrifice & dedication to save his country men…
And a special mention to Kumud Mishra as Sanjiv Kohli for his kindness, being helpful & sincere efforts to get back his war stuck Indians home…

The film was slow paced intermittently… the script & the screenplay could have been better with more detailing… The music by Ankit & Amaal at times moved with the film & the background score by Arijit Datta was good enough to make you feel the war zone… The cinematography of Priya Shet was captivating…

The real goosebumps were felt to see the Tricolour stand tall & patriotism filled the air making every Indian realising its worth, you are only valued & recognised by your own flag immaterial which country you adopt to make your future…

India is an emotion of love… how much one tries to criticise her, like a mother at any given point she will take in all your faults & give you shelter with your prestigious identity of being a proud Indian…

What a way to celebrate today’s Republic Day with patriotism, unmatched heroism & a real story that was lost on the sidelines of many dominant newspapers… watch Airlift for Akshay Kumar a new son of India in making…

Vande Mataram… Jai Hind…

Thrumyeyes…
