The only thought that acrossed my mind through out the movie was ‘Karma’…
For the man who was as innocent as a child, brave as a lion, whose wit & wisdom made him survive 23 years in a filthy dark jail room suffering from all the cruel torturing for crime he didn’t commit at all…
One would wonder & feel sorry for the family of Sarbjit for the Almighty being so unkind to the people who have done nothing wrong towards the mankind… But when we fail to find the reasons, the answers would be coming from the past life…
Sarbjit’s youth was spent in the four walls of the jail, when like any other man he could have lived a normal life with his family & kids… Lived an unknown journey of a farmer peacefully in the fields of Punjab… But destiny wanted his name to be echoed like a free bird across the globe, for that he & his family had to pay a heavy price of sacrificing their life, happiness & battling it out for years against the wrong…
Today because of his sister’s unconditional love & fight for his freedom he is the hero but didn’t they both had the right to live, to breathe, to love?
Sarbjit right from first frame made me loose courage to see the pain this man goes through… Entire film journey makes you go heavy & teary eyed…
It was a delight to see Randeep Hooda playing Sarbjit to perfection… The detailing of his character was fantastic & the credit must be given to the director & the stylist…
Aishwarya Rai was prominent as Dalbir & it was a hero’s act for her… The aging of Dalbir in 23 years was graceful, probably one of her finest act till date…
Richa Chadda supports her role well as Sarbjit’s wife…
Omung Kumar has attempted to keep Sarbjit realistic & heavy… For audience’s it is something very difficult to come in terms with… Though it is a real life story our minds are not geared to accept so much of pain & hardships… 23 years is a long time to pull out the fight with so much vigour & hope…
At point one feels… death is better than living such a dreadful life… Wish the destiny was bit courteous towards Sarbjit & his sister, wish her fight was rewarded by him coming back to his country alive…
Wish…..
With a very heavy & emotional heart I pray, Sarbjit may you live forever young in the hearts of many people & reborn again to live your youthful life which was captured in the inhuman cells of the cross border jail & your sister being rewarded for all her hardships by showering her with human love…
Better be the free Bird Sarbjit than a captive King…
Thrumyeyes…
