Ravi Jadhav knows his creativity & business of filmmaking very well by following a forever hit formula of making a successful hit film with a filmy love story.
May it be Laila-Majnu, Heer-Ranja or Dagdu-Praju, poor boy rich girl, opposition from the girl’s family & the lover crossing the bridge to get his love? All these spiced up with right punches, emotional twist connecting to the masses.
Timepass 2 got a record winning opening due to the original Timepass had hit the jackpot…
The animated start of TP2 was a right strategy for a sequel probably the director could have used it again after the interval as second half had nothing new to give & was very much predictable…
The chemistry between Shakal & Dagdu is more intense & executed perfectly. Shakal urf Vaibhav Mangle has stolen the movie with one of his excellent performances till date; he has created magic on the screen…
The efforts & hard work of Dagdu urf Priyadarshan Jadhav could not be neglected. He has given hopes to many boys next door to try their luck with love & a chance to be a super hit Hero.
Praju urf Priya Bapat looks beautiful & has got a biggest break of her career but the sizzling chemistry of true love was missing which was beautiful captured between the couple of Timepass.
Praju’s excuse of dancing as an extra to find Dagdu is very unconvincing… The songs in the film fail to capture ones imagination. Sonali Kulkarni dancing on Madan Pichkari shows the lack of good work for her in the industry. There are few errors of sub titles being shown (3 times) in the absence of dialogues. The sound & background score is loud & it highlights the essence of the film…
Ravi Jadhav’s vision of every frame holds the movie with tight screenplay & some classic frames & shots captured. His effort to experiment with new talent gives him the power to rule the box office. He does not need a superstar to pull the crowd as he himself is a Brand.
He is a man who has changed the face of Marathi cinema & has roped in moolah by creating history in just one weekend. At the end what matters is the Box Office collection & Ravi Jadhav, you have proved to be a badshah of Marathi commercial cinema. But the real creative man I see is the one getting National Award for his film Mitra… Hearty Congratulations…
143 will always rule the Hearts & the Box Office…
Don’t take Timepass lightly; it is a serious business…
Thrumyeyes…
