Gender Equality & Respect

For last 5 years I am sincerely working and spear heading woman empowerment and safety. Also collaborating with various corporate offices on SHW policies for safe working conditions…
After empowering 11 lakh individuals across Maharashtra state and in cities like Indore, Hyderabad and Bangalore. I take some liberty to question the situation and coming up with right solutions.

1. Why me too movement should only be restricted to Bollywood when women are facing this in all industries… Why the women from other industries be left out, encourage even them to speak…

2. My question to all those who have faced sexual abuse and now opening up through Me Too movement… Why are you not taking any legal stand against the offender? Tough actions will get better results…
Bring forward all those names who abused you in your entire life journey and not just those who have social status…
Don’t prove to be just another oppurtunist who participated in Me too movement by shaming offender and not taking legal steps. Don’t let it be another scandalous entertainment…
People have a very short memory and all social media posts would be forgotten soon…

3. For those who trolled me for advising Tanushree to take legal steps for justice should question their own integrity & intelligence…
My letter has proved to hit bulls eye as one sees a legal process has been started to file FIR against the offenders… The same process if was done 10 years ago, probably justice would have been achieved till date…

Now my take on current situation…

Woman may be working in any industry, but being financial independent does not make her EMPOWERED… Does not make her strong to fight towards the injustice done to her, Does not make her brave to stand against incidents that break her existence of being a women… She needs something more…

That’s what I’m doing from past 5 years, making her stronger, bolder from within. Making her aware of rights and making her more confident to handle situations like sexual abuse and harassment…
Not to cry in despair But fight against all odds…

I have been trying to conduct my empowerment program in film industry from past few years, have written to few as well… I was not supported by giving silly reasons, women in film industry are already empowered… If so, why are we seeing so many Me Too incidents around ?

Since I believe in Gender Equality, I also fear the day is not far away, when we will be seeing Men starting with MeToo movement and asking for protection…

The only way I see forward is to respect each gender, we both are incomplete without each other.
Let’s rule with Love (Consent) and not through Force…

Thrumyeyes…
