Some like her, some hate… But her courage to pull off a splendid biopic has to be appreciated…
Kangana Ranuat, it was not Laxmi Bai but your own fire to fight against the industry men has seen in the character of Manikarnika… You choose to lead the pack rather than being part of the camp…

Your over dominance is seen in the entire film and at the end credits… The film belongs to you and only you… Boss Lady…

I believe the credit must be given to the entire team of Manikarnika… There was not a single dull moment in the film. Though the film went through many hurdles in making, Kangana’s determination made it see the release… And the producer showed that faith in her which she should never forget… With the best team from the film industry Kangana showcased great valour…

The only person who gets notice after Kangana is General Huge Rose aka Richard Keep… He is pleasing to the eyes and makes an impact. All other actors just don’t get our attention…

Do watch Manikarnika for Laxmi Bai, Her fight for Freedom, Har Har Mahadev and Maratha Samrajya…

Manikarnika – A film that made more impact than the trailer….

I misused my time and money to save yours…

Any negative feedback is also a great publicity for a badly made film. It eventually helps to cross a 100 crores mark as inquisitiveness of how a film can go wrong leads the audience to the cinema halls…

Thugs of Hindostan is the classic case study of over confidence from each and every department, inspite of two super stars, huge fundings, biggest banner, even the music director duo could not manage to give some decent songs. Action sequences were bearable but not valid at times. Editor should have chopped the film ruthlessly to reduce the unbearable length.

Ronakpur where the story of thugs is based is marked on the map in the centre of Maharashtra with no sea around. But in the entire film, the palace of Ronakpur is shown built adjoining the sea… The entry of Aamir Khan looks like shot in the barren jungle of Vasai Vihar near a small river stream with not so great support from side actors. All looks so fake…

The director completely got overshadowed with the presence of mega stars and lost his plot to weakest screenplay, story, performances… In fact the plot based on girl’s revenge cannot justify the title Thugs of Hindostan…

For the first time in interviews, I saw Aamir Khan being defensive and justifying himself for doing a film… A great opportunity has being wasted and ship sank before it could even sail…

The entire film was a joke played on us but most hilarious was Katrina, her dance and dresses. A character placed only to woo the non intelligent public for whistle and cheers that failed miserably too…

The only thing that got my attention was Mr Bachchan and his humongous energy. Sadly even that got hidden under the hairy face and turban…

After seeing ToH I can only say,
Thugs ने थकवले मला… Hushhhhhhh

Thrumyeyes..

The most successful of all the lot is Bikaji… At any scene happy or sad Bikaji is the brand…

I wanted to see stories of 4 Veeres who are mad, lost, confused, had dirty secrets,f**ked up present, society issues to live up and full of awesomeness yet coming out empowered & stealing the show…

And what I get to see beautiful sets, classy makeup, designer clothes and product placements… Every scene had one product to sell… But no storytelling…

Deliberately inserted scenes for charumsukh, bhe***, apna haath **** to make it look cool and sassy…

Smoking, drinking, one night stand is so common nowadays that one hardly feels it cool on screen…

The bond of Veeres on which the film is based also looks fake… even going to Thailand don’t bring that charisma…

Veere Di Wedding has all the showSha but no soul at all… Making it the perfect example, money and deep cleavages cannot be the recipe for a good feminist film…

If you don’t believe, go and watch it yourself…
The film has already made profits thru branding and it will make more during weekend till the right words spread across…

No filmmaker has a right to play with The Pride of India.

A real and strong concept of “Parmanu” comes as an insult to the efforts, intelligence and common sense of our former late President APJ Abdul Kalam, all Indian scientists, ministry and army who worked on the super secret project of Pohkran…

Director Abhishek Sharma you owe an apology towards an nation for not doing any justice to the real subject, when you have film like Ghazi Attack to look up…

Unnecessary dialogues, plastic actors and laughable action scenes have made a super thrilling film, Butt of all Jokes…

It makes me angry to see how money and hard work of hundreds of people is wasted to create such an idiotic film which shows scientists eating and drinking when the blast is about to happen. Even film like Mr India made sense in 80’s than seeing Parmanu in 21st century.

I feel the film industry has to be blamed partly as everyone wants to work with known names even if a final product is in a sorry state…
Thus making more difficult for directors like me to put together a good film as tremendous money is wasted on such silly projects.

John Abraham you had a beauty in your hands but the captain did not knew how to sail the ship thus loosing it completely in the start itself… Better luck next time.

The Indian in me is in anger and upset to see Parmanu which should be completely banned and remade once again.

PS : I come from the family of scientists and our extended family was part of Pohkran test.

Some stories make you write about them and Raazi made me exactly do that…

One comes out of the theatre feeling so content yet having soft corner for each character that is played so well…

A perfect example how every individual is right in their own space and it’s circumstances and duty that make you do things you never have imagined…

Reviews are not written to give away the story but to express an experience worth sharing…

Once in a while you find a poetry being portrayed on the silver screen, inter weaving the emotions flowing in a rhythm…

It would be unjust to mention only about the lead actors as everyone has put in their best… Yet I have to mention Alia has outperformed herself…

It is a blessing when as a director you get best of each department to showcase a beautiful in-depth story engaging and mesmerizing… A well balanced romance the way I always visualise…

Raazi is love towards your country, your man, your family, your people who have showered you with respect and affection… Yet putting the duties ahead of yourself…

Meghna Gulzar, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal you have delivered a masterpiece…

Finally Padmaavat sees the dawn after a huge political thriller created by Karni Sena …

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one man whose envisaged vision have always shaped into reality…
But with Padmaavat, I felt it was more of sets, costumes and looks than the story & screenplay…

His previous films Bajirao Mastani & Ram Leela are much more grandeur than Padmaavat in all means… In fact Padmaavat had glimpse of film like Bahubali…

The Karni Sena should stop making fool of themselves as the film has nothing to go against any caste or religion… Instead their actions have helped the film to get the mileage and audience…

Sanjay Leela Bhansali now knows how to take advantage of the controversies around him & do the right business…

From the film, my only take away is, if your enemy is warning you time and again that victory counts more than ethics and rules… Than put all your ethics and ego away and fight the game of survival for your own people… Reel & Real…

Maharawal Ratan Singh should have learnt this lesson from his wife Padmaavati instead of repeating his mistakes again and again and allowing her to scarifice life…

Padmaavat have some real good performances, some magical moments but somewhere it has lost the essence…

Instead of Jawhar, if the women in the film with the same vigour & determination would have been successful in killing the evil Khilji as Padmaavati was a brave and intelligent queen… Would it have made a difference ? Creative liberty?

Probably Yes…
Empowerment over Sacrifice…
Queen’s rule over Evil…
Padmaavati over Karni Sena…

Jagga with his innocence & finest performance has made it look so cool on the screen though it was not an easy character to play… It is Ranbir’s film all the way…

The grown up audience may find it little boring especially in the second half… But the film is hit with the children… One can hear non stop giggles & laughter from these tiny audiences…

Highlights of the film are the way it is shot, the serene & beautiful locations and the songs sung by Jagga which are soothing to hear instead of the dialogues, the choreography makes one tap the feet…

Not always the film has to look 100 % perfect to be a hit sometimes sincere efforts of the director & the entire team also has to be considered…

And Jagga Jasso is one such film even if audience call it a failure or does not perform at the box office will always be cherished and loved for making an attempt which looked so beautiful…

Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor as a team you have always created magic… I had my fan moment & laughed out loud on seeing Nawazuddin with 2 heads… Hahaha…

I enjoyed watching the book named Jagga Jasoos…

After a series of films that failed to light up the silver screen, here comes a female oriented rigmarole that keeps you on an edge, biting nails as it uncovers the cold deep revenge of a mother…

It may seem unrealistic in someways but the director Ravi Udyawar has done a splendid job who in return has been supported by a terrific team… Every department stands out in every frame…

Sridevi has pulled off single handedly a huge hit thus proving film industry does not depend on the male stardom… By this film the acceptance will be rooted deeper…
Adnan Siddique who plays the husband has brought the freshness to the screen when 6 packs are getting boring, long way for this man… Akshay Khanna & Nawazuddin Siddiqui added X Factor with their buttery performances… Well supported with the daughters…

The film is a treat with brilliant cinematography & background score… Anay Goswamy every frame & angles were crafted and it gave a film a vibrant texture… The 3 distinct top views, the car, the bathroom & the icy kill gives shivers which was supported by background music, the hooon hooon hooon during the gangrape makes one uncomfortable…
At same time gives director’s vision how without even showing the actual scene of rape, score can do a justice…

A tight screenplay and edit has kept the suspense going till the end, the sudden turns & shock has lifted the film in many ways… Thus making us forget how certain things are even manageable…

A film has to be worthy to write a review positive or negative… Mom is one such film which gets a big Thumbs up & it is a must watch by every parent, teenager to know how a single incident can lead to life changing experience…

The heart of Mom is deep abyss & a title just above Queen…
