I always looked forward to watch #Azhar as I felt it was a perfect masala film having all right ingredients… Controversial Indian Captain… banned for life from playing cricket… 2 wives… filmy romance & battle for survival amidst the rise & fall of his name & career… I was pleased by the end product… A complete entertainment putting me on the edge & the credit must be given to it’s director Tony D’souza, editor Dev-Vipul & background score Sandeep Shirodkar…
I am not here to justify & support Azhar & the facts that associate him… it is only He who knows the reality… what connected me was a journey of one human being going thru all the stages & emotions of life & I saw a fighter in Him…
The film opens with Azhar’s reality of being banned for life… Thus taking it’s audiences immediately to the real crux & slowly unfolding the past chapters… The pace in the first half is brilliant & always keeps you on the edge… the background score adds to the experience…
How much successful the man is, his story is incomplete without a woman to love & support him…
Azhar was able to find love in two beautiful ladies… One a simple homemaker who gave him strength & made his family while other a successful outgoing strong woman who stood besides him… For him it was the best of both the worlds… Which man doesn’t want to be in his place? Hence he never wanted to hurt anyone of them…
But life always has a different plan… When your time is wrong everything goes against you…
But it the fighting spirit that will help you sail…
Azhar was well played by Emraan Hashmi… At some places in the initial stages you could see him act as Azhar but as the journey continues it showed his performance…
Prachi Desai was simple & eleglant… Nargis Fakhri lived to her image of plastic model…
Kunal Roy Kapoor as usual was a treat to watch as Azhar’s lawyer & Lara Dutta looked gracefully as a defending lawyer…
There are some misfits in the film like a case is running for 8 years & you can’t have a same Hon’ble Judge throughout the trail…
Any person can go thru hell if someone decides to screwup your life, it would be thru a sting operations or just thru hearsay…
A verdict which now has removed the ban on logical grounds has given a new hope to the man who played his 100 test match in the real field of life…
The reality of taking a bribe or not is only known to those involved in the situation… Azhar has paid a huge price for a mistake he chose to do… But fighting against the ban has assured him peaceful nights…
Azhar very few get the chance like you… Life has been generous enough to let you speak your own story thru your film…
It’s now up to you how you choose to play the fields… Ekta Kapoor you have given a new hope to a dying star…
